Astoria Oregon December 10 The first whale back to visit the Pacific Ocean has suffered a 250000 mishap on its maiden voyage. The British steamship Zambesi from Hong Kong arrived tonight with the disabled whale back Charles W Wetmore in tow. After 83 days from Philadelphia she could not steer as the rudder had dropped off leaving only the frame.

All Aboard For 600th America Pan American Road Dirt Thrown

First dirt on the Pan American Railway was tossed today in Vrotoata Texas in a ceremony led by Major Fly. The line promises to be the shortest route to Mexico City by about 300 miles and will serve a strong financial backing for the project.
