Pinehurst Booms With New Carolina Hotel Atop Scenic Village
Pinehurst grows rapidly as winter visitors swell. The Carolina Hotel, built by W. C. Bain of Greensboro and designed by Kendall Taylor and Stevens of Boston, rises as the state’s largest hotel. Four stories tall with 250 rooms and 49 baths, it features a music pavilion, sun rooms, extensive dining halls, electric elevator, steam heat, and Pinehurst Springs water. Managed by H. W. Priest, plans and room engagements available through N. W. Priest of Boston before January.
