Jones and Adair Lose Golf Match At Pinehurst

Bobby Jones and Perry Adair of Atlanta lost to Norman Maxwell of Philadelphia and Ned Beall of Uniontown 5 down on the fifteenth hole at Pinehurst No 2 in their first visit. A heavy morning rain made the greens sodden and challenging as Maxwell and Beall led most of the match while Jones struggled with the wetter course and sand greens. The following day Pinehurst defeated the visitors 3 up with 2 to play before a large crowd.
