Flora Macdonald and the old plantation near Aberdeen
An expedition to a North Carolina site linked to Flora Macdonald chronicles a buried history. Locals describe the homestead of Kelly Everett, the graves of Dan Macdonald and the fuller, the mulberry stump by Kenneth Black’s chimney, and remains of the old dam, cider punch, and brandy still. The Scottish Society of America excavated the grave under Miss Eloise McGill but found nothing new.
