Moonlight Cotillion Charms Village With Novel Escapade
An informal Monday evening Summers eve Cotil lion at The Carolina drew a large cross section of the village. A moon lit opening march set a night mood with lanterns and sparklers. Novel feats included partners chosen by shooting with toy guns and lions and owls costumes. Butterflies and cards and flags were used to unite couples. The steeplechase was reimagined with improved hurdles and a bookmaker booth added. The crowd roared for hunters colts under sixteen races and the dancing finale featured synchronized movement and cheering.
