Whittemore Triumphs In Three-Course Medal Finish

P W Whittemore of Brookline Country Club wins the Fifty-Four Holes title after three days of medal play across the club's courses. He totals 241 with rounds of 80 81 80 to beat W H Truesdell by one point for second. Rackham of Detroit takes best net at 226 on 69 handicap, with other notable scores across courses one two and three.

Priscilla Carver Recital for Belgium Aid at Carolina Hotel

Priscilla Carver, a noted pianist, will perform at eight thirty next Tuesday at the Carolina Hotel to aid suffering Belgium. The event, under cottage colony patronage, features free seating with limited ten dollar boxes and appeals to listeners to donate what they can to the European victims of conquest.
