Seniors' Tournament at Pinehurst Reveals Close Vintage Battles
The first Seniors Tournament at Pinehurst on March 3 and 4 drew 98 players aged 55 to the upper seventies. L. A. Hamilton of Garden City led gross scores 82 76 158, beating Dr. J. B. Brown 170. Brown won the best gross prize for 36 holes. Dunlap of Plainfield took third at 174, with Croft of Greenwich and Wells of Oakmont tied at 175. Brown and Wells followed in the best net. Carley and MacDonald staged a notable late duel with Carley winning net 169 to 170 for the doctor. A list of scores from participants follows.
