Neck and Neck Finish at Gymkhana Horse Race
A Thursday afternoon gymkhana drew several hundred spectators for a lively program led by the novel “somebody else’s horse” race. An even dozen riders competed with prizes for top point totals in events such as scarf race water carrying lance and ring, and a thrilling finish saw Mrs Sousa beat Mr Southgate neck and neck. Several more events followed, with various participants and guests from New York, Philadelphia, Boston and beyond attendance noted.
