Maxwell's Putting Wins Medal in Spring Tournament Qualifying
Norman Maxwell of Philadelphia led the Spring Tournament medal play from start to finish over two courses and two days in ideal Pinehurst conditions. The 19 year old used a fast bull’s head putter to post 75 in round one and 75 again in round two, with twenty four putts on day two and two remarkable long putts.
