Harvard Hotel Opens With Elegant Queen Annes Design
The new Harvard Hotel in Greensboro is ready to welcome guests after delays caused by autumn car shortages. The three story and basement building features Wheeler style detailing, electric lights, vacuum steam heat, four bath suites per floor, Wilton carpeted halls, oak furnishings, and a sun parlor entrance. Dining room seats sixty, fully equipped kitchen, and Kronstadt china. Annexes Waldheim and Franklin Flats to be used with the main house.

Pinehurst week sets golf record with open medal win
The week ending January 25 at Pinehurst was the season’s best to date with fine weather and strong turnout. B Kent of Berkshire hotel won the eighteen hole open medal with net 72 after a gross 94 and handicap 22. G T French of Carolina posted 86 gross in the lowest score. The next event is Feb 1 with entries due Friday evening. two cups await the top two scores.
