Since last season the Berkshire Pinehurst in North Carolina has been enlarged to more than double its capacity and refurnished throughout. It offers modern conveniences including running water from Pinehurst Springs, baths, steam heat, open fires, and electric lights. The hotel will be managed this coming season by the Proprietor of the Eagle Inn in Orwell, Vermont.
The design emphasizes resident comfort with a Ladies' Parlor and Cafe on the first floor while the second floor houses a Reading Room with daily papers and popular periodicals, plus a Game Room Smoking Room and Bath Rooms for residents' use.
