In the twelfth Annual Midwinter Golf Tourney preliminaries decided the President's trophies with surprises as Whittemore defeated Hunter to reach the final round where Brookline's Whittemore won five and four. Hunter then beat Hudson five up with a late comeback to reach the final, while Barber advanced with decisive wins in earlier rounds and Slater, Travis, and Becker posted tight matches as tournament progress continued.
