Keen Play in Women's Golf at St Valentine Trophy
The seventh annual St Valentine golf tournament for women kept keen interest as Miss Louise Elkins of Oakmont won the chief trophy six up and four to play over Mrs. R W Thrift of Shawnee. Edith Barnett of New Haven won the second division and Gwendolyn Cummings of Brookline the third. Qualification saw Mrs Alexander McGregor of Belmont card 102, Thrift 103, and Elkins 105. Dor othy Hutchinson of Detroit defeated McGregor in the first round and then pushed Elkins close in an 18 hole match that decided the title.
