St Valentines Carolina Cotillion Delights Dancers

The Carolina Cotillion on St Valentine’s Day thrilled spectators at the music hall with elaborate decorations and lively novelty figures. Dances featured new roles like the Winter Girl and a Romani Land favor Waltz, with prizes, cake-walks, and a parade of costumes. The event ran from nine until midnight as Mrs. Durstine and others judged the performances and intermission punch was served.

Walter J. Travis Leads Big Field in St Valentine Tourney

Walter J. Travis of Garden City won the gross score medal in the seventh annual St Valentine golf tournament with a four-stroke margin. He also captured the second division match title, defeating B T Allen of Fox Hills three up with two to play. Corbin wins from Rober son on the Twentieth Green in the second division.
