Midwinter Handicap Trap Meet Promises Strong Amateur Field
The fourth annual Midwinter Handicap Trap tournament runs a full week starting January 16 with a large amateur field. Ten regular twenty target events on days one and two, five events on days three and four, and optional sweeps with $2 and $2.50 entrances are planned under Rose and percentage payout systems. Pinehurst Gun Club adds $300 to $400 plus $50 per ten entries over fifty to amateurs who shoot all regular events but lose their entrance money. an extra $1 per amateur per day applies.
