Village Could Host a League Baseball Team

In a Sporting Life letter Philadelphia's Morse notes Pinehurst as a possible site for a baseball ball ground. He cites a growing village interest with up to 2000 fans in season, a saloon-free town, modern conveniences, and an 18 hour trip from New York via Seaboard and Southern. Baseball is popular locally and management may cooperate.
