Influence of Sandhills community effort across state
Last year Pinehurst and fifteen allied towns joined the Sandhills Board of Trade to boost the region at home and abroad. Highlights include Farm Life School, a large October fair, a forthcoming tobacco market, and a hospital. The initiative gains state notice, with Clyde L. Davis invited to speak at Chapel Hill’s State Newspaper Institute along with prominent figures. The piece praises public spirit and the idea of a statewide fair driven by local leadership.
