Inn ushers record opening season with largest house
The Holly Inn opened with the largest house count in history as guests began arriving a week before the November twentieth opening. By December many bookings were secured for the holidays, with a mix of long-time patrons and new visitors enjoying social events, concerts, and golf. Notables from New York Philadelphia Lowell Dijon France and Sweden are among early arrivals and returnees, marking a festive prewar resort season atmosphere.
