Holly Inn Opens For 98 99 Season At Pinehurst
The Holly Inn, Pinehurst's largest hotel, opened for the 1898 99 season with twenty five guests. Since its 1805 origins and 1806 public opening, it expanded through additions, new cottages, and a hollow square design to provide ample air and sunshine. Under Atwood and Horace F. Sise, the inn’s facilities, including a grand lobby, music room, dining hall, and renovated billiard and writing rooms, are described as among the finest and most comfortable in the country, reflecting steady growth and strong demand from guests.
