Bankers Convention at Pinehurst Sets Week of Golf and Booth
The Executive Council of American Bankers travels from East and West for a May gathering at Pinehurst. Nearly 400 attendees will mix committee work with recreation including golf tournaments, bridge for ladies, Annie Oakley shooting, a fiddlers’ convention, horse racing, a grand ball, canoe trips, and side tours through the Sandhills.

Judge Way Builds Cottage at Knollwood in Moore County
Judge W. A. Way of Pittsburg contracted Richard Tufts to erect a $20,000 modern cottage on Knollwood property. Finish and occupancy are expected next fall. Architect plans also show James Barber’s adjoining house. Several Knollwood lots have sold, with more homes likely. The Crest Road near Midlands Road is nearly complete.
