Pinehurst, a unique town in the sand belt of Moore County North Carolina, lies 76 miles southwest of Raleigh at 650 feet. Founded in 1895 by James W Tufts, it offers 50 cottages, hotels, a casino, village hall, schoolhouse, store and the Carolina hotel built in 1900. The Pinehurst Links span 150 acres with Donald Ross in charge. facilities include electric lights and spring water.
