Runch Gerunch Runcht The Pinehurst Dairy Farm appeals to northern visitors and solves a long-standing material need. The farm produced 200 gallons of milk daily at its peak, enough for the village, with plans for a larger dairy next year to convert surplus milk into cream and butter.

The Equipment of a Dairy Farm Exhibit

The dairy farm features a main storage building with two 36 by 115 foot wings, large bright interiors, concrete floors, and easily cleanable joints. Cattle platforms, rear cesspool, swinging iron stanchions, and automatic watering ensure ample water. Four box stalls per barn for 100 head, cattle groomed twice daily, and stable washed by daily douches. Tuberculin tested cows, milk cleanliness prioritized. About ninety graded Ayshire Durham and Holstein cows headlined by Jersey bull General Marigold No. 45486 from Biltmore Farm. 150 cleared acres grow rye corn fodder and hay. blooded Berkshire hogs to be raised. Managed by A. M. Swinnerton of Danvers Mass. Accessible within half a mile of the village via road near negro cabins, pine grove, and deer park.
