Fox hunt ends with capture near Palmetto gate
Fox Hut, Messrs Uuffstickier and Wicker of Pinehurst and I T Powell of Aberdeen led a large village turnout and riders through Pinehurst yesterday. A caged fox was released near the village gate at the Palmetto and given five minutes to run before the hunt started. The hounds pursued across about two and a half miles from the village, ending their chase half a mile beyond McDonald's Grove. Pinehurst photographer C C Vale captured several vivid pictures of the scene as the pack and riders sped through the gate.
