Easley Officer Injured. Three Suspects Escape in Attack
Policeman Sanders was knocked unconscious during an arrest of two Negroes Rafe Hamilton and Wakefield by Luke Hamilton. Take Hamilton was captured then escaped. both Hamiltons were caught later while Wakefield remained at large. Sanders showed initial serious condition but improving by Tuesday night. Suspects were taken to Greenville for safekeeping after drinking.
