Five year old Easley resident Little Fay Smith died after injuries from an automobile crash involving Warren Smith. The child was taken to Earle Sanitarium Greenville and buried at Fairview church cemetery. Coroner and inquest proceedings discussed possible charges before reopening investigation. Also reported death of Mrs Fields Hayes of Griffin area from acute indigestion and funeral at Griffin Baptist Church.

Tragic Mule Accident Kills Child in Cedar Rock Area
A two year old child in the Cedar Rock vicinity died after a mule stepped on its head while the parent released the animal to spare the child. The incident occurred last Thursday afternoon as Mr Whitmire watered his mules. funeral held at Cedar Rock tomorrow conducted by Rev C A Waters.

Pickens County Lands the Best
A Greenville businessman visited Pickens last Saturday coming from Anderson by Liberty accompanied by another gentleman and a townsman. They praised the lands noting excellent farms and progressive farming, remarking how the ridge area is productive and well improved. Mrs. Caroline Wimpey died September 22 at about 68 and was buried at Cross Roads with Rev. J. M. Looper officiating. She is survived by Ed Wimpey, Mary Lark, and Mehaffey.
