Treasure of ancient English coins found on Virginia farm
Lorenzo Mears uncovered several thousand dollars in old Maghish and English coins buried in earthen pots on his Accomac county farm after years of local legends. The site was near an old Nandua burial ground where skeletons loom as erosion exposes remains. The find echoes Revolutionary era treasure tales once studied by descendants and travelers.
