Wr. Larkin Hughes Dies at Ninety in Pickens County
Wr. Larkin Hughes died Tuesday at age about ninety in his home near Pickens County. A Confederate veteran and former lieutenant he suffered a long arm wound. Survived by wife, children Jas A Hughes Alfred Hughes Charlotte Clayton Tirzah Hughes Belle Davis, he was a member of Twelve Mile church and Keowee Lodge No. 179 A F M. Funeral at Bethlehem church with Masonic honors.

Automobile Flips Near Bridge. Eight People Escape Injury
Sunday near the bridge over the Southern Railway at the Alice Cotton Mill an automobile containing Sam Craig and seven of his nephews rolled over after the steering wheel came loose. A son of John Craig of Valhalla was driving. eight people were thrown clear but Sam was trapped beneath the vehicle. All occupants suffered only minor bruises and little damage was done to the car.

Frank B. Morgan, 59, a Central merchant and pioneer banker, died at home Saturday after a brief illness.
