Pickens Ordinance Sets City License Fees for 1922 23
The city of Pickens adopts a license tax schedule to raise funds for the 1922 23 fiscal year. The ordinance lists fees for hotels, restaurants, millers, merchants, lawyers, bankers and numerous trades, with annual due dates and penalties for non payment. The measure authorizes treasurer issuance of license certificates and prescribes fines up to 100 dollars or 30 day terms for non payment. Also includes a separate notice of reopening a Six Mile store by Mann & Co with spring goods and pricing.
