Special Election Ordered for August 26 in Pickens County
Pickens County Democratic Executive Committee met August 4 1913 to set a special election on August 26 1913 to fill the House of Representatives vacancy caused by the death of Fred Williams. An assessment of 50 dollars was approved to cover ticket printing and election expenses. Precinct managers were named with substitutions allowed. Pledges due by August 20. Meeting adjourned to reconvene as needed.
