Installing Waterworks in Courthouse and Jail
Plumbers began work Monday to connect the courthouse to the city water system and will later retrofit the county jail. The project plans include a new ladies’ toilet on the first floor and removal of the existing men’s facility. A public fountain and improved sanitary features are also noted. JG Arms of Gooseer handles the contract work.

Stores Close Early For Summer Retail Hours

Singing Convention Near Kassey Hosts Noted Singers
The Tickeng county singing convention will meet at Bion three miles west of Kassey Arab 22 and 85 on the fourth Sunday and the Saturday before. The house is pre pared and weeded for services. Churches and Sunday schools are urged to send delegates. Expected are prominent singers and several preachers. A free entertainment at Wolf Creek school house is planned for Friday night.
