Williamston District Conference Adopts Education Push
The July meeting in Williamston opened by Rev. J. B. Wilson with Bishop Duncan presiding. Delegates praised preaching yet noted a generally low spiritual tone but strong interest in education and Sunday schools. The Williamston Female College was lauded, and 69 of 98 members attended. Election of delegates, licenses granted, and thanks to Williamston were recorded. The next session moves to Greenville, and a celebratory tone closes with local notices and ads.
