Faronvar Mines Copper Deposit in Yuma County Arizona

The Faronvar mines lie in Yuma County near Phoenix, Arizona, owned by D. C. Kling & Co. Expenditures exceed $29,000. Board of Supervisors Meeting at Maricopa County 1888

The Board met July 22 1888 at 2 pm with all members present. The issue to raise the N Way of Section M4 Township 1N Range 2E assessment from 500 to 600 was discussed and led to reassessment of Mrs Moore ranch to George Patterson. Rebecca Peeples insane was ordered placed at Langdon Clark asylum in Locks ton California. Mortgage actions included J T Dennis against J E Wharton for 269 and J L Isaaca to Samuel Franklin for 15.00. Minutes of prior meeting read and approved before adjournment.

A Brush With The Tempe Bosses

Deputy Sheriff Mogers returned last night from a hunt with Tempe robbers. He was accompanied by Mr. Bishop and Goran's clerk Bagley. They traced two men near McMillan toward the Salt River. A running fight followed with exchanges and a horse struck, but the robbers fled into the rocks. The pursuers lost ammunition and could not capture them. The band is traveling east along the Salt River and evading capture.
