Big miniature circus dazzles Phoenicians at Electric Center
The world's largest miniature circus, scaled at half an inch to the foot, draws about 2,000 daily visitors to 777 North Central Avenue. Ernie Palmquist, former bandleader, created the 19-tent show with 300 performers, 200 horses, 72 musicians, and 30 elephants, touring nationwide with Mrs. Palmquist assisting in tents and costumes. The attraction continues through Saturday and includes a bustling crowd, a pickup-pocket watch, and a police moment within the tiny world.
