Auto Bureau Pay Hearing Scheduled
Maricopa County Board of Supervisors must show cause at 10 a.m. Oct. 17 before Judge Rent L. Jennings why it has not paid the salary claims of the county assessor's Auto License Bureau employees. The suit by County Assessor W. E. Stanford challenges the budgeting designation of a $65,000 item as an Auto License Bureau fund, not a tax levy item. The action may go to the State Supreme Court for resolution.
