Williams Field Swim Pool Under Way
The Williams Field fighter school advances its first permanent rec facility a men’s airmen swim pool. Duhame Construction of Phoenix won the $93029 bid and will finish in about four months funded by Central Welfare Funds. The 82 by 72 feet pool includes a 39 by 70 feet bathhouse, flood and underwater lights, diving boards, and a slip resistant finish with an 11 foot deep end.

Mesa Hearing On Bus Line Request Set
The Arizona Corporation Commission will hear at Mesa City Hall at 10 a.m. Friday on a permit to operate an intracity bus line. Lonnie Wilkerson, ex Metropolitan Lines official, forms Mesa City Lines and plans two 27 passenger buses with 20 minute service from 6:40 a.m. to 7 p.m. along Macdonald Street from Eighth Avenue to Fourth Street and east to Hibbert Street. Two Brothers Die in Wickenburg Pioneers
Edgar C. Hill 71 and Myron F. Hill 65 died within a day at Community Hospital Wickenburg. They lived in Arizona since 1885 after early mining careers near Mayer Jerome and Prescott. Survived by a sister Minnie Britt and several grandchildren, stepchildren. Funeral services set for Monday at 10 am at Wickenburg Chapel with Prescott burial Monday afternoon.

Five Creighton District schools will start half day sessions for first and second grades on Monday due to enrollment rising to 2,850 pupils, 315 more than last spring.
