Avondale Church Plans Dinner for Fellowship Hall
Special to The Gazette Avondale March 31 campaign to raise twenty five thousand dollars for a new fellowship hall at Avondale Community Methodist Church. Campaign chairmen are Mr and Mrs Laddie Cor with co chairmen Mr and Mrs T C Rhodes and others in charge of divisions and gifts. The current sanctuary built in 1946 at about twenty three thousand dollars serves 125 weekly riders. The new hall will include classrooms a kitchen a church office and pastor’s study.

Evangelist Sime to perform at church in music hour
Orben Sime, a World War II veteran with a fork cello and theremin, will perform at the American Evangelical Lutheran Church on West Glenrosa Avenue at 7 30 p.m. He will play instrumental works and hymns in English, Scandinavian, and German.
