Tempe Council Approves Zoning Plan and Alerts on Crossings
Tempe City Council approved the zoning board recommendations with one minor change. Buckeye CAP Ground Crews To Take Hops
Members of the Buckeye Civil Air Patrol squadron will fly over the Valley from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help ground crews understand pilots’ tasks when activated. The event at Buckeye Airport includes Rex Williams with a 1927 Ford trimotor, a Navy helicopter from Litchfield Park, and demonstrations of the Piper Tri Pacer and new radio gear. Members may join the patrol tomorrow by applying, paying $3, and becoming eligible for a flight. Next meeting Friday will assign members to units.
