Air Force Rules Out Sabotage In Eight-Plane Jet Crash
Washington June 12 AP The air force said sabotage is not involved in the crash of eight F-84 Thunderjets over Indiana during a training flight from Austin to Selfridge. Icing of engine inlet screens caused the accident amid localized atmospheric conditions. Three pilots were killed. The eight planes were among 34 in the mission and were refueling at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The investigation by the air force FBI and manufacturers continues to determine preventive actions. A thunderstorm near Richmond Indiana preceded the crashes, marking the largest mass jet disaster. The report was shared with the senate preparedness subcommittee and Johnson indicated further testimony would follow once officials finish.

104 Degree High Forecast Hits Phoenix Heat Wave
A 104 degree high was forecast for Phoenix today with a drop to about 102 tomorrow per Louis R. Jurwitz of the U S Weather Bureau.
