Adolf Hitler's Car Exhibit Heads to Phoenix
A armored Mercedes-Benz once owned by Adolf Hitler is set for display in Phoenix in front of the Maricopa County Courthouse on First and Second avenues for two weeks starting Monday. Christopher Janus of Winnetka, Illinois, says his firm inherited four dancing girls from an Egyptian uncle and that the car was gifted by Hitler to General Mannerheim of Finland before the invasion of Finland. The exhibit, arranged by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 720, will charge no admission with 20 percent of contributions aiding disabled veterans and the rest funding Janus’s charitable and personal expenses.
