VA Mental Patients Become Forgotten Men
The VA reports many veterans in mental hospitals have not seen relatives in years. One man, a WWI veteran, has not been visited in 12 years, while others created a surrogate family among hospital staff as spouses ignored them. The VA urges relatives to reconnect, noting some patients are fit to return home and work if supported. A Denver building code update also mentions multi level parking garages.
