A Gazette feature on Dick and Mrs. Fitzpatrick crafting their home at 4342 East Vernon Avenue. The couple blends money and ideas with combed plywood walls, a 33 foot window wall, Mediterranean green brick, knotty pine kitchens, spice cabinet innovations, and planned expansions including a breezeway and future guest cottage. Fitzpatrick, American Airlines sales manager, did much of the work and furnishings himself.
