July Rainfall Improves Ranges in Parts of Arizona
The Associated Press reports July rains aided livestock range conditions in many Arizona areas with rainfall above or near normal, while northeastern counties faced water shortages. Cattle are mostly in fair to good shape thanks to supplemental feeding and water hauling, though weights are lighter due to heat and limited water. Sheep are in fairly good condition except on the Navajo Reservation where ranges and water are very critical.
