Funeral of M W Rickert in Aurora and Lament Land Opening Tripp
Funeral services for M W Rickert of Milesville S D were held at the Grand Army Hall in Aurora with the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic and others in attendance. Rickert, 55, died after a shack accident on his Dakota claim as a rafter and roof debris caused his death. The interment was at Naperville. relatives from Milesville Wheaton Kanakee Oswego and Aurora attended. The other item notes a government land opening in Tripp County around October 1 with rail access via the Rosebud extension of the Chicago North Western Ry and a call to request descriptive pamphlets.
