Wild Engine Pranks and Narrow Escape Told by Engineer

A truthful engineer recounts a wild diesel like tale of an engine that raced away at a station. The engineer describes a near catastrophe near Sun Tone with the K M and M line and how the engine bucked and nearly wrecked before stopping at the crossing. He recalls a coast trip where an engine acted like a prankster and nearly caused disaster. He laments engines that think they are jokers and vows quitting if given another such assignment.
