Milwaukee road to rebuild middle division and add cutoff
Mason City Iowa April 26 orders have been received for a complete rebuild of the Iowa and Dakota division between Mason City and Mitchell South Dakota with eighty five pound rails and for strengthening all bridges. The work plans include twelve bridge crews. The railroad will also construct a cutoff from Mason City to Rapid City to cut nine hours off Chicago to Pacific coast travel.
