Woman Swindles with Matrimonial Ad Scam in Superior
In Duluth Minnesota on August 27 a colored woman Margaret Burrington confessed to a Ponzi like matrimonial scam. She deceived nearly 60 white men by sending endearing letters and photos after advertising as a farmer’s daughter, then used colored status as a lure. She and her husband allegedly collected hush money and continued the scheme into March and June before arrest following complaints. Rev.
