Boy Persuaded to Untimely Grave in Canal Death
In El Paso on May 24 Henry Leon Freeman an eight year old boy was lured by five playmates aged 11 to 14 to Washington Park and the Canal. He was stripped beaten and thrown into the canal where he drowned. The assailants kept silent until pressed by a police officer and then hid Freeman's clothing to conceal the crime.

A 15 year old, William H Lewis colored, is jailed after a fight on Stiles street with John Mysieski 22, who died in Frankford Hospital from a chest blow. Lewis admits striking the man saying Mysieski nagged him for two weeks and insulted him. Witnesses say Mysieski provoked the encounter. Lewissentenced to House of Detention for hearing.
