Mrs Bryant Wins Suit Over Cemetery Grave Damage
Mrs Nellie K Bryant of Norristown settled her $10,000 suit against Merion Cemetery Company for 200. The case cited alleged desecration of her husband Benjamin Bryant who died in 1903 and son Charles who died in 1913. Gravediggers moved bones and a casket was broken causing family distress. The cemetery superintendent Lewis was arrested and fined $100 for violating township cemetery rules.
