Chicago reports allege Jesse Binga aided a ruse to intimidate a white guard over a house bought by Charles H Davis at 4506 Forrestville avenue. Davis paid 5000, guards were placed, Binga and an accomplice arrested for impersonating officers, later released.

Court News Of Interest In Quarter Sessions Court
Judge Ralston quickly disposed of three cases involving colored defendants. Edward Pickett pleaded guilty to carrying a concealed weapon and received sixty days in county prison. Pickett is a cripple and worded as double punishment under the ruling. Harry Brown was jailed ten days for libel after sending a spite letter to Martha Blue’s employer. Helen Dorston was acquitted of larceny for lack of evidence. Hon. William F. Powell sustained severe injuries last Saturday when he fell in a bathroom and broke four ribs. He is recovering at 572 Clinton St Camden N J. Clark L. Smith, Baltimore lawyer, visited the city and attended First African Baptist Church before meeting with Chris J. Perry at the Tribune office.

The senior bishop of the A M E Church, Henry McNeil Turner, died in Windsor Canada on Saturday May 8 1915. He was born February 1 1833 in Newberry Court House D C and long served as a pivotal church leader and educator. his funeral was held in Atlanta Georgia.

Earnest Christian Women Win Permit for Tag Day
The Mothers Club of Zion Baptist Church will hold a Tag Day on Saturday May 22 aided by women from St Paul Ebenezer Miller Memorial Second Baptist Nicetown and sister churches. The drive aims to recruit at least five hundred women to support child welfare economic relief and a Day Nursery with organizers in Philadelphia's northern district. Former Local Pastor Sued in Court
