Careless Use Of Loaded Revolvers Results In Death
In Philadelphia three people were harmed by firearms this week two children and a man. Joshua Wilson 25 was killed instantly in his Reed street room by his fiancée Ethel Robinson 1406 South Nineteenth street. The revolver had no safety lock. Ethel Robinson was arrested and questioned. In a separate yard incident 12 year old Charles Nichols shot his sister Ida Nichols and cousin Joseph Mander with a double barreled shotgun. Both children survived. Owen Jones 5067 Jefferson street detected the scene and the victims were taken to West Philadelphia Homeopathic Hospital where doctors said they would survive.

Two lynchings occurred in Mississippi this week. Adolphus Ross, accused of assaulting a white woman, was hanged by a mob at Water Valley. In Hattiesburg, Jenning, charged with murder of a colored woman, was taken from jail and lynched by armed men.
